Deep within the history and culture of Iran, dialogue has always been a symbol of civilization and progress. This ancient land, known as the cradle of civilization, culture, and arts, now more than ever, needs a roadmap, a guide for navigating current crises and laying the foundations of a better future.

A continually growing group of Iranians inside and outside the country, toward establishing a government based on freedom, justice, and human rights, has launched the Iran Project. The group aims to create a constructive dialogue with the international community and provide a framework for facilitating the transition to a democratic government in Iran.

Our vision is a democratic Iran where every individual, regardless of their past and political beliefs, can constructively participate in the rebuilding and development of the country. The path forward for Iran must be based on dialogue, justice, and mutual respect.

Our Core Values

Political Independence without Any Dependency
We affirm the principle of sovereignty, the people’s will, and the preservation of the nation’s resources. We are committed to safeguarding the territorial integrity and wealth of the country of Iran, including its land, sea, and air. This principle ensures that independence and freedom are guaranteed without any political constraints.

Fair Distribution of Natural Resource Revenues
The fair distribution of income generated from natural resources among all citizens, with particular attention to deprived regions and vulnerable groups, is emphasized. This principle is based on social justice and the integrated development of the country.

Preservation of the Rich Persian Language
The official Persian language will be preserved and taught in administrative and public institutions, while the teaching of local dialects and support for linguistic diversity are also promoted. This principle contributes to the mutual understanding and revival of local cultures.

Recognition and Celebration of the National Flag
The Iranian flag, recognized as a symbol of national identity and history, must be displayed throughout the country. Any changes to national symbols must be done through public referendums and with the participation of the citizens.

Government Structure and the Separation of Powers
This principle emphasizes the importance of the separation of powers and equality before the law. The government must be accountable and transparent, with sufficient authority granted to citizens for addressing local issues. Citizen rights in decision-making processes must be respected.

Human Rights Charter Aligned with Iranian Culture
A Human Rights Charter that is consistent with Iranian culture and values should be drafted and implemented, while also adhering to the principles of international human rights. This ensures mutual respect between the state’s policies and global human rights standards.

Separation of Religion from State Affairs
This principle calls for the separation of religious institutions from governmental affairs to prevent conflicts of interest and ensure equal freedoms for all citizens before the law.

Promotion of Social and Cultural Freedoms
Emphasizing equal access to opportunities, the enhancement of individual rights, and the protection of cultural diversity, this principle helps create an open and inclusive society in which every individual can fully realize their potential.
